Elder Toney Amos

Pastor & Founder

Pastor Toney Amos is an HR Generalist for Goodwill Industries.  Pastor Toney is the Founder and Senior Pastor of Abundant Life Church of Jesus Christ Apostolic in Lexington, North Carolina.  Pastor Amos is the son of the late, Deacon Toney Amos, Sr. and Mother Nettie Amos Mabry.  He is married to First Lady Edna M. Amos. Pastor Toney and First Lady Edna Amos have two children, Toneysha and Tyler; and one granddaughter, Teagan.


Pastor Toney Amos has been an active member in ministry since his early years. Growing up in Christ Temple Apostolic Church, now Christ Rescue Temple, he was a musician, choir member, and YPAA member.  During his time as a member of Shiloh Apostolic Temple in Ridgeway, Virginia, Pastor Amos was the Director of the Men’s Choir and led the Marriage Ministry alongside his wife.  He was ordained a Deacon and later an Elder.   


Pastor Toney Amos is a passionate leader who loves his church family.  He was given the vision for Abundant Life Church several years ago and has vigilantly followed God in his Pastoral Call.  Pastor Amos lives by the scriptures, Psalm 121:1-2 “I will lift my eyes unto the hills for which cometh my help, my help cometh from the Lord.”  This is his life mantra because in every experience he has truly learned to look to the Lord for all his needs and God has certainly provided.

First Lady Edna Amos

Financial Secretary & Missionary President

First Lady Edna Amos is a Parent Educator in Davidson County.  In her role as a Parent Educator, First Lady Edna supports parents with children zero- five in preparing their children for school.  First Lady Edna is married to Pastor Toney Amos who is the pastor of Abundant Life Church of Jesus Christ Apostolic.  To their 30-year union, Pastor and First Lady Edna Amos have two children, Toneysha and Tyler; and one granddaughter, Teagan.


Over the years, First Lady Edna has participated in numerous ministries and auxiliaries. While a member of Shiloh Apostolic Temple in Ridgeway, Virginia, She was the Director of Vacation Bible School and led the Marriage Ministry alongside her husband.  She also served on the Women’s Choir, Voices of Shiloh Mass Choir, Praise Team, YPAA Committee, and Women’s Ministry.  Presently, First Lady Edna serves as the Financial Secretary, Announcing Secretary, and Missionary President. 


First Lady Edna Amos is proud to serve and lead others in their Christian journey.  She believes through God all things are possible. First Lady Edna knows the power of God, through his word, is fully capable to bless as well as deliver us in all things.

Sister Toneysha Amos Frisby

Worship Leader & Youth President

Sister Toneysha Amos Frisby is an accomplished educator who specializes in progressive administration of instructional programs and school management systems. Toneysha currently manages her own educational consulting business and serves as an Executive Assistant to a private firm in Greensboro.  She holds a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education and a Master of Arts in Teaching and Learning.   Sister Toneysha has one daughter, Teagan.


Sister Toneysha has been blessed to participate and support in a variety of ministry auxiliaries. Sister Toneysha has been the president of a collegiate ministry named United Ministries. She was tasked with leading the university students in bible study, prayer meetings, and Christian fellowship activities. While a member of Shiloh Apostolic Temple in Ridgeway, Virginia, Toneysha was president of the Singles Ministry and Youth Choir.  She served on the Women’s Choir, Voices of Shiloh Mass Choir, Praise Team, YPAA Committee, and was a Children’s Church Teacher.  Presently, Sister Toneysha serves as the Praise and Worship Leader, Musical Director, and Youth President here at Abundant Life.


Sister Toneysha believes fervently in sharing the goodness of Jesus through her life experiences so others may desire to follow Christ no matter their past or current circumstances.  Sister Toneysha abides by the following scripture and truly believes that God is able to manifest everything he has for us. Jeremiah 29:11-“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
