Praying Together

Our Story

Serving the Lexington Community

Abundant Life Church of Jesus Christ Apostolic was founded by Elder Toney Amos in July 2011. He was led by the Lord to start a ministry in the High Point/Greensboro area.  While commuting and serving as an associate minister at Shiloh Apostolic Temple in Ridgeway, Virginia, Elder Amos and his family began to set in place the framework to begin this vision he had of starting a church.

Pastor Amos and his family searched for a location to start this ministry but encountered some obstacles along the way. During this time, Pastor and his family held bible study in their home on Wednesday nights, while being active members of Shiloh. Elder Amos and his family were determined to follow the call of God. They continued to pray and trust God for the answer and a window opened to allow them to use the cafeteria at Montlieu Academy of Technology School for weekly services on Sunday.

ALC held its inaugural service on Sunday, November 11, 2011. Pastor Vernon Amos and Praise Temple Apostolic Church of Welcome, NC came to support and help kick off the momentous occasion.

Since our 6th year of ministry, ALC has been given the opportunity to continue the work of our Lord in Lexington NC in the UCJA Facility at 204 Beethoven Avenue. This ministry will continue to serve the community and seek to capture those of unbelief to lead them to Christ, so they may possess fruitful relationships, productive work experiences, and interpersonal achievement in abundance. To God be the glory for the things he has done and is yet going to do!
